Zamfara state government has directed all traders hawking around Gusau Central Market to relocate to the market.
Commissioner of Commerce and industries, Alhaji Yazeed Shehu Danfulani gave the directives to all traders living outside the Gusau central market while on working visit to the market.
The Commissioner who was on a tour round the central market said the relocation became imperative considering the fact that majority of the newly constructed shops were empty, as such some traders occupied two or more shops, which is supposed to be a trader per shop.
Yazeed further explained that about 200 business owners both males and females, would benefit from the state government’s assistance to traders , aimed at boosting commercial activities in the state, saying, it is going to be a continuous process, calling on them to Support Government’s policies and programmes for the overall development of the state.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaji Shayau, called on the traders to utilize the assistance that given to them judiciously.
In their separate remarks, the Chairman, of Gusau Market Association, Alhaji Bashir Mai-manja and a businessman, Alhaji Hamisu Hamstore commended the Commissioner for his efforts toward assisting traders in the state, assuring that they will continue to support government for success.
