Zamfara Govt Expands N159m On Malaria Integrated Campaign In 2020



The Zamfara state Government has spent the sum of N159m for the 2020 integrated Compaign (net and SMC) against Malaria across the state.

This was stated by the state Malaria Elimination programme Manager (PM ), Dr Sanusi Bello, when the Committee of Advocacy, Communication and Social Mobilization (ACSM) paid a Courtesy visit to Hon Commissioner Ministry of Information, Alhaji Ibrahim Dosara in his office.

He explained that, Zamfara state government was the only state aross the country that contributed alot in insecticide net Compaign and SMC in year 2020.

He further stated that, with out this intervention from the state government and the Committee of ACSM the Compaign would not have an average of over 95% success recorded the year 2020 .

Dr Bello emphasized the need for creating more awareness on the need for going to hospitals and commended the Zamfara state Governor for his wanderfull support and cooperation to the health sector in the state.

In his Response, the Commissioner, Ministry for Information Alhaji Ibrahim Magaji Dosara said that, the Governor was ever ready to continue assisting all the stakeholders and NGOs that were working in the state to carry out their developmental programmes that have direct bearing to the people of the state, expecially in health related issuea.
