The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has described the election of Zamfara State Executives of The people’s Redemption Party (PRP), as free and fear.
This was stated by the INEC representative, Alhaji Anas Tukur official shortly after the PRP State congress/election, held in Gusau, the state capital.
Alhaji Anas Tukur said that, the election was done in a free and fear manner, without any harassment or violence.
He called on other parties to emulate the PRP, by conducting free and fear election.
Anas Tukur, Commended the members of PRP for their support, cooperation toward the success of election, calling on them to maintain the tempo.
In his speech the chairman of the congress planing committee, Alhaji Salisu Sambo, explained that, the election was done successfully.
Henarrated that, offices elected include, chairman, Haruna Adamu Tsafe, vice chairman, Abubakar Isah Moriki, assistant secretary, Bello hussaini Gusau and financial secretary, Mujitaba Abdurrahaman.
Others were; the organising secretary, Rufa i Musa, Auditor, Lawali Haruna, Treasure, Surajo Muhammad, Legal adviser, Yusha u Abdurrahaman, Women leader, Suwaiba Abubakar, Youth leader, Yusuf yahaya, as well as Hilalu Yakub Bakura, serve as secretary of party,
In his speech, PRP Governorship aspirant, Alhaji Mamuda Muhammad congratulated, the new executives and prayed Allah to protect and guide them throughout their tenure.
Alhaji Mahmuda assure to work hand in hand with the new executives in order to the success.
In his acceptance speech, the newly elected chairman, Haruna Adamu tsafe, expressed happiness over the election and assured to justify the confidence reposed in them.
He also promised to carry every body along, thanked all those who attended the election and prayed to Allah for journey mercies back to their respective destinations.
