2023: Zamfara Youths Drum Support For CBN Governor Emefiele, Promise To Donate N50m To His Campaign Funds

Youths in Zamfara state have promised to donate N50m for CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele’s campaign funds, if he accepts to contest for President.

The promise was made by the youths in Gusau when the national leadership of the Unified Northern Nigeria Youths Forum For Emefiele visited the state on Tuesday.

The state’s Coordinator of the forum, Ibrahim Aliyu who announced the donation said, youths in the state were ever ready to donate the amount to Godwin Emefiele campaign funds, if he (Emefiele) declared interest to contest for president.

Aliyu stated that, the youths in the state have benefitted immensely with lots of developmental programs introduced by Godwin Emefiele as the CBN Governor, as such, they wanted him to lead the country as president come 2023.

“I welcome the national leadership of our great coalition, Unified Northern Nigeria Youth Forum for Emefiele 2023 to Zamfara State, where farming is our great pride”.

“We in Zamfara state are ever ready to support the aspiration of Dr. Godwin Emefiele, as his excellent and well designed policies have greatly benefitted our people”.

“As farming is the occupation of more than 90% of our people and Emefiele’s policies favoured agriculture more than any other sector in Nigeria, we must support his aspiration to rule this country”.

Aliyu maintained that, 1,000 dry season farmers were empowered with N250,000 each by CBN anchor borrowers program through Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria (RIFAN).

He also said, “Under Dr. Godwin Emefiele, the CBN has empowered  60,000 cotton and rice farmers to cultivate 130,000 hectares of farmlands located across the 17 emirate councils of the state”.

He said that thousand of Zamfara Youth and small business owners enjoyed various direct funding through COVID 19 loan, RRI, AGSMEIS and other intiatives of Dr. Emefiele. 

“These economic and life saving interventions have benefited many and uplifted millions of Zamfara people out of poverty. 

“If such and intellectual is given opportunity to be the President, Nigeria will surely reach its desired destination. 

“We are therefore joining the call on Dr. Godwin Emefiele to as matter of urgency declare his interest to contest for President come 2023”.

In his speech at the occasion the spokesperson of the forum, Aliyu Muhammad Sani said, Godwin Emefiele has recorded remarkable achievements as the CBN Governor, adding that, “We need his services as our president in 2023”.

He urged all Nigerians to come out and persuade Dr. Emefiele to declare his interest to contest for president come 2023.

He maintained that Emefiele was the key to Nigeria’s economic growth, as such he would take the country to a greater heights if given the chance to rule the nation.

Acccording to him, the gigantic efforts of the CBN Governor in promoting agricultural sector was enough record to persuade him to come out and contest for president.

He said, “Agriculture is the secret and key to the industrialization policy that turned around economic strength of many developed countries of the world such as South Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore and even the great Britain.

“In Nigeria, Dr Godwin Emefiele is the key to Nigeria’s  Agricultural revolution, the green icon, the brain behind all the initiatives and success of the Nigerian economy particularly, Agriculture. 

“To the stakeholders and teeming population of Zamfara State, please join us in calling on this seasoned, versatile, diverse economist and a technocrat per excellence to contest for the president of Nigeria, in the 2023 elections”.

“Now is the time for Nigeria!Now is the time for a Technocrat!!Now is the time for Emefiele!!!.” Concluded Aliyu Mohammed Sani.
