Gov Matawalle rescues 11 kidnapped persons with no ransom

Eleven people kidnapped by bandits at different locations in Zamfara state have been rescued by without paying ransom.
This followed a carrot and stick approach system to lasting peace in the state adopted by Governor Bello Matawalle.
This was made known by the Governor’s Special AdviserPublic Enlightenment Media and Communications, Alhaji Zailani Baffa in a statement.
Baffa stated that, the rescue of the kidnapped persons was coming at a time when the Governor summoned a state holders’ meeting last Saturday to discuss further avenues of achieving peace without blood shed in the state. 

The victims, according to him included eight males and three females,  who are from various states of Bauchi, Niger, Sokoto and Zamfara. 
“The rescued victims expressed their total delight and boundless gratitude as they described Matawalle as the “Oak of Noah”.  Said Baffa.

Governor Bello Matawalle, who received them at the Government House assured that his administration would not rest on its oars until total peace was achieved in the state. 
He directed that the victims should be taken to the hospital to ascertain their health status before they were released to their respective families.
