Chief Imam of As-sadeeq Jumuat Mosque, Lafia in Nasarawa state, Sheikh Ahmad Babayo has urged applauded the efforts of the Zamfara state Goveronor, Alhaji Bello Mohammed Matawalle in fighting banditery and bad policies in governance.

Speaking at the weekly Jumuat sermons, Babayo said commitment demonstrated by the Governor to end banditery in the state was a clear concern of love to the people of the state.

“It is very clear that, Goveronor Matawalle has people at hear by taking giant stride to end banditery, especially, by series of committees on the banditery and promise to punish who ever is found to be aiding the crime”, he added.

He also stressed that, the decision of Goveronor Matawalle to reject #10 million pension to the former Governors was a clear of governance, considering the fact that he would be beneficiary of the pension one day but say no it.

He urged the congregation to fervently pray for the end banditery and other insurgency in the country.

Babayo also warmed against abuse and castration of eaders, but rather continue praying for their success.

The Chief Imam however enjoined state governors to emulate Matawalle to demonstrate serious commitment in the fight against crime and entrench justice and fair play in governance.
