Governor Bello Masari of Katsina state said the students of GSS Kankara kidnapped last Friday were in Zamfara state.
Masari who was answering questions from BBC Hausa service Reporter this night said his Government got information that the students were actually in Zamfara state.
“They are in Zamfara forests, we have gotten the information”. Said Masari.
He said that, his Government was currently negotiating with those who have kidnapped the students with a view to ensure their release.
Masari stated that he has already started dialogue with the abductors assuring that his administration would secure their release.
“We are negotiating with those that have abducted the students and we want to ensure that we secure their release”.
He however refuted the allegation that the students were kidnapped by Boko Haram.
