Familiarisation: Zamfara CP tours Maradun, Talata-mafara Local Govts

In Continuation of his familiarisation tour to Divisions and Formations  as well as Courtesy Call on  Royal Highnesses, the Commissioner of Police CP Abutu Yaro fdc, the Commissioner for Security and Home Affairs, Alhaji Abubakar Mohammed Dauran and entourage  visited T/Mafara and Maradun LGAs. 


This was contained in a press release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer SP Mohammed Shehu issued to newsmen today.

During the visit, the Commissioner of Police addressed Officers and men of the two  Divisions including the newly recruited and trained special Constables.

 The CP urged them to always discharge their duty in line with the Professional ethics and to shun all actions or inactions that will project the image of the Police in a bad light.

He later  held an interactive session with Fulani and Hausa community leaders, where he appealed for their support and cooperation in Consolidating  the ongoing peace process in the State. 

The Commissioner for Security and Home Affairs, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar Dauran in his remarks highlighted some of the Programmes and Policies of the State Government towards achieving a lasting peace in the State. 

He called on the Stakeholders especially fulani and Hausa Community leaders to support the State Government peace initiative by preaching and promoting peace in their respective villages and communities. 

In their remarks, the Emirs of T/Mafara and Maradun assured the CP and the Commissioner for Security that their Emirates will do  everything to ensure peaceful Co-existance of their people.

The CP later inspected the  Ongoing Construction of new 78 PMF Squadron Barracks being executed by the State Government in Maradun. He thanked His Excellency Dr Mohammed Bello Matawalle MON for his  government’ Continous support and assistance to the Police in the state, and promised to redouble efforts to safeguard the security, safety and peace of Zamfara State.
