Musa said, ” We have decided to protest and if it fails to work, we will have to embark on strike action because it is the only language goverment understands”.

According to him, the unions and the federal government have agreed on certain issues bordering on IPPIS, salaries and allowances, lamenting that, “up till now, we have not seen any change”.

“The federal government promised to sit and work on the agreement reached upon, but up till this moment, they have ignored the issue, they have not talked about it and they become ignorant of it”.

Other protesters

“We are calling on the goverment to try to come into the system. It is not good that any time you want to seek for your right you have to protest”.

“We don’t want to go on strike again, we always want to resolve issues through dialogue, that is why we are sending a signal to the federal government”.

“But if this didn’t work, we have to come out and take necessary action to protect the interest of our members”.
Musa stressed that, members of two unions must to shout and tell the government to fulfill its promises, concluding that, ” If you didn’t shout, the goverment will not listen and that is why we are here today”.
