COMMUNIQUÈ
The Zamfara state Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) after its regular State Executive Council (SEC) Meeting which held on Thursday, 21/1/2021 at the NUJ Secretariat with the Council Chairman, Abdulrazak Bello Kaura presiding resolved as follows:
1) That non members of the union should henceforth desist from using the NUJ official sticker under any guise
2) That security agencies should as usual support the union in ensuring that only journalists with their official organization’s or NUJ National Identity card should be allowed usage of the sticker
3) The union joins the state government, security agencies and people of the state in prayers to see the end of armed banditry facing Zamfara state in particular and the nation in general
4) Members called upon to be more dedicated to their work and closely guided by the ethics of the profession
