Federal High Court Dismisses Case Against Zamfara Attorney General

The Federal High Court sitting in GUSAU Zamfara state capital on Tuesday has dismissed the case filed by Shafi’u Shefi’u Shehu Auta Esq challenging the appointment of Attorney General Zamfara state Barrister Nura Ibrahim Zarumi.

The Presiding Judge Justice Fadima Murtala Aminu held that,  the appointment  of Barrister Nura Ibrahim Zarumi who was called to the Bar in November 2010, as Attorney General of Zamfara state is regular and not inconsistent with provision of section 195 (2) of the 1999 constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended. 

Speaking shortly after the court sitting, Counsel representing the Attorney General of Zamfara state and Zamfara state Governor Bello Matawalle,  Barrister M S Suleman Deputy Director civil litigation ministry of justice Zamfara state, informed the Court that, the appointment of Barrister Nura Ibrahim Zarumi as Attorney General by Governor Matawalle was regular,  proper and not inconsistent with Provision of section 195 (2) of 1999 constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended
