Zamfara Correspondents’ Chapel Sacks Maiharaji Altine For Controversial Report on Abducted Jangebe Students

The Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists has sacked its member, Maiharaji Altine following his disregard to the leadership of the Chapel by refusing to honor their invitation for clarification on the story he wrote on the abduction of GSS Jangebe Schoolgirls.

The letter signed by the Secretary of the Chapel, Malam Ibrahim G. Ahmed reads as follows:-

“I am directed to notify you of the decision of the Correspondents Chapel, following your disregard to the leadership of the chapel that led to your refusal to honor their invitation for clarification upon your published controversial report on the abducted Jangebe students.

In view of the attitude mentioned above, I therefore write to inform you that the Correspondents Chapel has declared total disassociation with you henceforth.

It could be recalled that, Maiharaji Altine who also reports for The Punch newspaper has written a story, alleging that, the abducted GSS Jangebe Schoolgirls were released last Sunday and were at the Emir of Anka palace.
