Gov Matawalle Appoints Six-man Committee For Repairs Of Unserviceable Vehicles, Plants

Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara state has approved the constitution of six man committee for the repairs of unserviceable vehicles and plants in the state.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Press Secretary, office of the Secretary to State Government, Alhaji Idris Salisu and made available to newsmen today.

According to the statement, the constitution of the committee was announced by the Secretary to the state Government, Alhaji Bala Bello Maru on behalf of Governor Matawalle.

The statement added that, the constituted committee has the state Commissioner for Budget, Alahji Ibrahim Jibo Magayaki as its Chairman, while the Permanent Secretary General Services, Alhaji Aliyu Bello Maradun would serve as the Secretary of the committee.

Other members of the committee include; Alhaji Aliyu Moh’d Tukur (ES) Commissioner of Education, Alhaji Moh’d Sadiq Maiturare Bungudu Commissioner for Special Duties, Alhaji Abdullahi Moh’d G/Bore Commissioner for Higher Education,  and Moh’d Abdullahi Shinkafi as Assistant Secretary.

The terms of reference of the committee included the following;

To identify all Government vehicles and plants that require major repairs to be road worthy.

To identify the vehicles and plants that are beyond repairs and recommend appropriate decision to be made on them. 

To make a compilation of comprehensive data on the vehicles/plants, containing Chassis Number,, vehicle make and year of manufacture.

Other terms of reference are to identify the kind of services requires, the cost implication as well as end of each vehicle.


 The rest are; to make and submit video and photographic copies of the vehicles and plants identified.
