Former Governor of Zamfara state, Alhaji Abdul Aziz Yari has donated 575 cows and 800 rams to members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state.
This was announced on Thursday by Alhaji Lawal M. Liman at the APC stakeholders meeting held at the party’s Secretariat along Sokoto bypass road, Gusau.
Liman said, the gesture was part of the former Governor’s efforts in assisting the party members to celebrate the Id El-Kabir with ease.
He said, the animals would be distributed to all the 147 wards in the state as soon as the committees for the distribution of the animals were formed.
He maintained that, both the old members of the party as well as those who have joined the party recently would benefit from the gesture.
He explained that, the party was making frantic efforts to ensure that, both the old and the new members of the party worked together for the progress of the state.
Liman also urged the APC members to continue praying for peace to return to the state.
