Bandits have Killed four persons and kidnapped several others in Ruwan Dorowa town of Maru local government area in Zamfara state.
An indigene of the area, Malam Hali told Analyzer news that, the bandits who were on motorcycles invaded the town around 1 o’clock am on Friday when the people were asleep.
Hali stressed that, the bandits went from house to house in search of some prominent people of the town who have the money to pay for ransom.
Acccording to him, they kidnapped about 30 people, killed four and carted away with some valuables.
” They killed four Persons including my friend’s son and kidnapped many people including women and children”. Said Hali.
Hali maintained that, the funeral prayers of the four deceased persons was conducted in the afternoon acccording to Islamic rites.
He added that, they were waiting for the bandits to reach out to them for payment of the ransom.
Another source who wanted to remain anonymous explained that his younger brother was killed in the incident while his wife and another woman living in the same house were abducted.
“My younger brother was shot dead, while his wife and another woman in the same house were abducted”.
The police command was yet to speak or issue a statement on the issue and the spokesperson of the command SP Mohammed Shehu could not be reached on phone.
