The Federal High Court sitting in Gusau, Zamfara state capital has on Friday dismissed the case filed by the APC faction of former Governor Abdul Aziz Yari, challenging the dissolution of the state party’s Exco by Mai Mala Buni.
Delivering the judgement, the Presiding Judge, Justice Aminu Bappa Aliyu said, the court has dismissed the case for lack of jurisdiction”.
Bappa said that, the case filed by the Yari APC faction was purely an Internal crises, adding that It was a party affair.
“This is purely an internal crises. It is a party affair, as such, the case is hereby dismissed because this honourable court lacks jurisdiction to entertain the case”. Said Bappa.
However, the Counsel to former Governor Yari, Barrister Bello Gusau told Journalists that, they would study the case before taking any further action.
Meanwhile, addressing Journalists immediately after the ruling, the spokesperson of Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa, Bello Bakyaauwa maitained that, “This is exactly what we have been expecting”.
Bakyaauwa stressed that, former Governor Ahmed Sani Yariman Bakura has already opened up what was going to happen at the court.
“We expected that the court would dismiss the case today because former Governor Ahmed Sani Yariman Bakura has already told the world that, this case will be dismissed”.
“So we are not surprised to hear the Judge’s pronouncement”. Concluded Bakyaauwa.
The state’s APC publicity Secretary of Matawalle faction, Alhaji Yusuf Idris who also spoke after the judgement commended the court for its judgement.
Idris called on other factions of the party to join hands with Governor Matawalle in order to build the party for it to succeed in 2023 elections.
