No fever than 300 Internally Displaced Parsons with base at Anka Focal Primary School in Anka town, Zamfara state, have been provided with palliatives by a politically inclined body, otherwise a pro- Yari group known as “Say Yes to Shaihi for Positive Change”.
Items given to beneficiaries of the gesture include, bags of rice, clothing materials to women and children.
Speaking during the distribution of the palliatives held at the premises one of the schools in Anka, chairman of the group, Mu’azu Yusuf Dangaladima said the gesture was part of humanitarian activities of the group meant for victims of banditry and other calamities in the state who domicile in Anka.
According to Mu’azu Dangaladima, the group had provided similar assistance to IDPs in the camp.
“We decided to come and commiserate with you because of the recent happening in which bandits Killed scores of people and rendered several others homeless.”
“As a tradition of this group, we decided to bring you this gesture aimed at reducing difficulty that many of you might experienced overtime” the chairman said.
The chairman further extended condolences of his group members to the victims of the inhuman, barbaric calamity, and to families of those who lost their loved ones.
He prayed Allah to grant the souls of the deceased eternal peace and restore lasting peace in the state and Nigeria in general.
In his remarks shortly after the distribution of the items, the chairman of Committee incharge of IDPs in Anka Emirate, Alhaji Aliyu Dan Akalele represented by his Deputy, Alhaji Abdulmumin Anka, (Chiroman Anka) expressed deep appreciation over the gesture and prayed Allah to reward the group abundantly.
” I can recall vividly when you recently donated similar items to IDPS in this emirate, and today you have repeated similar gesture, we thank you most sincerely”. Said Chiroman.
The distribution was supervised by the emirate’s committee on IDPs and other loyalists of former Governor Abdul’aziz Yari that included APC Anka local government, vice Chairman of Yari faction, Alhaji Bello Ahmed, Alhaji Bello Alinkilo Anka as well as Alhaji Bello Ahmed Rafin Gero among other party stalwarts in the local government.
