The Director General, Zamfara State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, Alhaji Lawal Muhammad (Janjunan Tsafe) has been relieved of his appointment.
In a statement, the Public Relations Officer of the chamber, Jamilu Ibrahim Gusau said, his is the outcome of an emergency executive Council meeting of the Chamber which was held recently in Gusau.
The meeting chaired by its President, Alhaji Bashar Ibrahim Maianguwa deliberated on Report of the Committee that investigated the allegations of gross misconduct and fraud leveled against the embattled Director General who has been eventually found culpable.
The Executive Members hence uninimously approved the immediate dismissal of the DG, Alhaji Lawal Muhammad Tsafe.
President of ZACCIMA Alhaji Bashar Maianguwa said the decision was taken in the best interest of the Chamber and Zamfara State as a whole.
He warned that henceforth who ever transacts with the dismissed DG in the name of ZACCIMA does it at their own peril.
Meanwhile, the ZACCIMA Executive Members have also uninimously approved the appointment of Mansur Shehu Anka as the new Director General of the Chamber with immediate effect.
Until his new appointment, Mansur Anka was the Deputy Director General of the Organization.
It would be recalled that the dismissed DG was earlier suspended some times last year.
In another Development, the Executive Council of Zamfara State Chamber of Commerce Industry, Mines and Agriculture have Uninimously endorsed its current president, Bashar Ibrahim Maianguwa and all his Council Members whose tenure expires in February, 2022 to automatically go for a second term in line with the relevant provision of the constitution of the Organization.
The decision was reached at an extra ordinary Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Chamber which was held in Gusau on 15th January, 2022.
