Local Govt Polls: Gwandu Council’s Boss Urges Youths To Shun Violence

Youth in Gwandu local government area in kebbi state have been urged to desist from any act capable of disrupting the next Saturday council elections.

The Sole Administrator of Gwandu local government council Alhaji Muhammad Mode Gwandu made the call while speaking to Journalists on the level of preparedness of his coucil regarding the election.

He said already a sensitization crusade has since been launched by the councit in collaboration with National Orientation Agency (NOA) on the dos and donts during and after the election.

“I want to assure you that in Gwandu local government we have taken all necessary measures to ensure hitch free exercise and likewise other coucil areas in the state” he said

Mode further expressed optimism that the ruling APC will emarged victorious after the polls considering the good work the state executive Governor Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has been able to put in place.

He added that “there are developmental projects with direct bearing on the lives of the citizenry’s executed by the Bagudus administration many completed while many are on going” 

On his council performance since assumption of office some three months, He disclosed that the coucil has rehabilitated an abandoned market in Gwandu town, provided potable drinking water and improved the IGR of the council.

Mode however, noted that each local government has a lot of meaningful projects to show as an example to the electorates.

“We are only soliciting to the voters to come out enmasse to vote for APC flag-bearers for both chairmen and councillors in the upcoming Saturday council polls’.
