Fashola said, 17 other completed roads would soon be handed over to the benefiting institutions, while 30 roads were currently under construction.

The Minister said it was undebatable that quality of education would be impacted by the quality of infrastructure and the learning environment.

He stressed that, “those who doubt it should simply listen to some of the feedback from the students where this type of intervention has taken place”.

He said, “the gab of our infrastructural needs is steadily being bridged by a gradual process of repairs, renewal and construction of major highways and it has reached the schools”.

He stressed that the students were now expressing renewed enthusiasm with regards to attending classes because of the fact that some defective roads have been restored to good condition.
