FCE Zaria Academic Staff Union elects new EXCO

The Provost, Federal College of Education Zaria (FCE) Dr, Sulaiman Balarabe has said that, the management of the institution remained committed to partnering the Academic Staff Union of the institution to produce quality teachers .

Dr Balarabe stated this during the swearing-in ceremony of the new union executive in Zaria.

The Provost advised the Union executive that they should not support indicipline and should also work as a team to bring positive changes in the college.

National Zonal Vice President, Dr Muhammad Shehu Jabaka charged the new executive to always communicate with management to achieve their objectives.

Dr Jabaka called on the Provost to ensure that the Union members were not victimized when carrying out their responsibilities.

He advised the new executive to protect the image of the staff and the college at large.

Speaking after the swearing -in, the new Union chairman Comrade Ubale Ismaila Alhaji assured that the Union remained committed to collective bargaining, dialogue, negotiations, due process and meaningful consultation.

Comrade Ubale said the Union was ready to cooperate and work with the management to ensure that the College maintained its standard.

The new chairman pointed out that the exco would do every thing possible to improve the welfare of its members.
