Kebbi Govt Organizes Three Day Retreat For Its EXCO members In Abuja

A three day Retreat for members of the Kebbi State Executive Council was conducted at the Royal Continental Hotel Abuja.

Many papers were presented during the retreat by experts in different field of human endeavors aimed at equipping the participants with relevant knowledge of how to carry out their responsibilities for service delivery.

One of the papers was presented by one of Nigeria’s finest political scientists, and a former Vice Chancellor Professor Nuhu Yaqub.

Professor Yaqub dwelled on Essentials of Democracy and Good Governance.

He explained that, ”politics is not just about capturing power but about the quality of power deployed for the betterment of the society”.

professor Yaqub noted that working in synergy and commitment to the good of the people was critical to the success of the administration.

He expressed the hope that the Honorable commissioners would execute the mandate given to them by the Governor of the state Dr (Comrade) Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu) to make life better for the people of the state.

In attendants were the Deputy Governor of the state Senator Umar Abubakar Argungu, the Secretary to the State Government Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida, the Head of Service Safiyanu Bena, the Chief of Staff Barrister Attahiru Maccido as well as all the Commissioners of the state.
