Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris has formally flagged off the resumption of commercial flight operations from the Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport, Birnin Kebbi to Abuja.
In a statement, the Special Adviser to Governor Nasir Idris on Media and Publicity, Yahaya Sarki said the scheduled flight touched down at the airport yesterday evening to signal the begining of the exercise.
In his remark, shortly after the arrival of the maiden shuttle, operated by “NG Eagle Airlines”, Governor Nasir Idris expressed delight about the resumption of commercial flights to the state, assuring the management of patronage by passengers.
The governor commended the NG Eagle Airlines for its professional operations.
‘ I have entered your flight from Sokoto to Abuja that is why I developed interest in your airline ‘, he averred.
The Chairman of the Airline, Abdullahi Ahmed on behalf of the management gave an award of appreciation to the Governor.
Before now, the State Ministry of Works and Transport has announced the resumption of flight operations from the Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport, Birnin Kebbi to Abuja .
According to the announcement, flights will be operated on Fridays,Sundays and Wednesdays.
This is in furtherance of efforts by Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, to ease transportation of people of Kebbi State and promote investment drive into the state.
