The Kebbi State Government has dissolved all the 27 Area Development Boards in the state.
In a letter which was made available to Journalists in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday quoted the Acting permanent secretary Alhaji Aliyu Hassan Kalgo making the announcement on behalf of the Commissioner of the ministry, Hon. Garba Umar-Dutsinmari.
The letter reads in parts: “I am directed to write and notify you that His Excellency, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu has directed the dissolution of Area Development Board Administrators and Assistant Administrators in the 27 Area Development Boards in Kebbi State with immediate effect.
“All area development board staff are to return to their respective Local Government Areas pending the re_deployment by the Local Government Service Commission.”
The letter noted that His Excellency expressed delight over the contribution as well as successes recorded by the administrators in their respective areas during their stewardship.
