A lawmaker representing Maru Bungudu Federal Constituency in Zamfara state, Honourable Zubairu Abdul Malik Zannan Bungudu has renovated nine dispensaries and Primary Health Care Centres within his constituency to a befitting test.
The renovated dispensaries and Primary Health Care Centres are situated in
Dansadau, Runji, Bungudu, Mayanchi, Rawaiya, Tashar Rawaiya, Bingi and Kotorkoshi towns.
Conducting members of NUJ correspondents chapel round the renovated dispensaries and Primary Health Care Centres, the Personnel Assistant to Hon Zubairu, Alhaji Bello Umar Bungudu said, arrangements were in a pipeline to renovate other health centers within the constituency.
He said, “Honourable Zubairu has penciled down other dispensaries and Primary Health Care Centres to be renovated very soon”.
“One of his priorities is on health sector, as such, he would do all he could to renovate health institutions and also provide medical equipment for the benefit of his constituents”.
Speaking to journalists in Kotorkoshi, a staff of the Primary Health Care Centre Kotorkoshi, Malam Akilu Isa Kura told journalists that the hospital was completely decayed but the lawmaker, Hon Zubairu renovated the place.
Some of the buildings renovated by Honourable Zubairu according to kura included theater room , medical laboratory, medical records office, male and female medical wards.
Kura commended Hon Zubairu for the gesture and called on politicians and well to do individuals in the area to emulate the lawmaker.
In Runji village, an indigene of the area who gave his name as Mohammed Bello commended the lawmaker for the total renovation of the dispensary.
Bello called on the people of the area to continue supporting the lawmaker to encourage him provide more dividends of democracy in the constituency.
