The Nigerian College of Aviation Technology Zaria has reiterated its determination to train of firemen to international standard.
The Acting Rector of the college Mr. Joseph shaka Emanigwe stated this in a message during the graduation of first set of fifteen firemen held in Zaria.
Mr shaka Emanugwe explained that the training was regulated by international civil Aviation organization ICAO.
He added that the simulator has been provided to ensure standard during the program for Aviation firefighters.
Mr Emanugwe pointed out that the program covered all aspects of fire fighting in aviation industry.
The cheif instructor of the college, Dr kole Osarete said the facilities were among the best in Africa.
Dr kole said the facilities created 52 fire scenario and would increase foreign exchange if properly managed.
He maintained that the training they acquired would make them compete with their counterparts across the globe.
Some of the firemen Amina Ibrahim Madugu and Abubakar Abdullahi Labbo expressed confidence that they would put what they have learnt into practice in case of any fire outbreak in the Aviation industry.
