The Proprietor and CEO of Kauran Gwandu Online Television, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar (Yau Lele), has applauded the Kebbi State Governor, Comerade Dr. Nasir Idris for supporting the online TV station to commence services on the air.
He stated this on Sunday at the presentation of certificates to the newly trained staff of the TV station held in Birnin Kebbi.
He observed that establishment of the station would complement the efforts of the state owned media house in publiciting government activities.
“I thank the present administration under the able leadership of Gov. Nasir Idris for making the private online TV a reality, he has also donated a temporary office for the station to commence activities towards giving the state the desired publicity.
“About 10 youths have been trained on online media production and presentation with a view to boosting their knowledge and skills in online media.
”I lack words to thank His Excellency, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris for the marvelous donation of a studio to carry out our activities.
“On many occasions, the governor has supported me morally and financially, this is because of my effort in propagating the programmes and activities of government,” he said.
In his remakes, the Chief Press Secretary to Kebbi State Governor, Ahmed Idris lauded the proprietor of KGTV, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar for his foresight and determination to succeed.
The CPS, who congratulated the graduands for acquiring skills and knowledge that may not be gained on the streets, also adviser to make good use of it for the growth and development of the station and the society at large.
He urged them to be committed to the profession by kipping to all rules and regulations governing the ethics of the profession.
“I really appreciate and thank His Excellency, our amiable Governor, Comerade Dr. Nasir Idris for his support toward the success of the station. Let me use this medium to state that journalists in the state are happy with this administration for carrying them along to fulfill their obligations,” he added.
Also speaking, the Special Adviser to Kebbi State Governor on Media and Publicity, Yahaya Sarki lauded the kind donation by the Governor, acknowledging that the building would serve as the operating studio of the online television.
He said it was the first time in the history of Kebbi State that a serving Governor donated a studio to a private online TV station aimed at complementing the efforts of government-owned media houses in propagating the activities of the state government.
He congratulated the online TV graduands, urging them to be patriotic in the discharge of their duties and shun negative or false information inimical to the wellbeing of the society.
In his remark, Alhaji Shehu Idris, younger brother to the Governor, who was represented by Alhaji Atiku Shehu commended the efforts of Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, Yau Lele for establishing the private TV station in the state and promised continuous support to the online station whenever the need arise.
Certificates were presented to the graduands trained by Yau Lele Digital Enterprise who has successfully acquired skills in Photography, Videography Reporting, Graphics Design and Software Engineering .
The CEO who used the medium to thank the following personalities; the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Yahaya Sarki, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Idris, the wife of the Governor, Hajiya Zainab Nasare, Alhaji Bello Ibrahim Nahaliku, Accountant General of the State, Alhaji Abubakar Dutsin Mari, Permanent Secretary Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
