No fewer than 100 Islamic Clerics from Kebbi and Kano States are expected to converge in Kebbi State to recite complete Holy Qur’an for 99 times for peace and unity of the country.
In a statement, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Nasir Idris, Malam Ahmed Idris said, the district head of Ambursa Alhaji Isa Haruna-Rasheed made the disclosure when he received parents, friends and well wishers of the newly turbaned traditional tittle holder of Sarkin Fadan Sarkin Kudun Ambursa, Fodio Mohammed Sanusi in his Palace at Ambursa.
He said the prayer session would be held for three consecutive days next week to seek Almighty God’s intervention on the current state of the nation for sustainable peace, unity and stability of Nigeria.
“I will organise a recitation of complete Holy Qur’an 99 times”.
“I have already invited Islamic Clerics from Kano State to join their counterpart here in Kebbi State, in total, they are 100”.
“The essence of the recitation is to pray for peace and stability of the country, we need to pray for our leaders to lead us to the promise land as well as our children, to have a brighter future,” he added.
“Is now we are having Governor and what he need is prayed for him to succeed, let us offer him with prayers, as because of his achievements even the former Nigeria President Ibrahim Babangida want to see him and commend him for is good work” he added.
The District Head described the traditional tittle of Fodio Mohammed Sanusi as Sarkin Fadan Sarkin kudun Ambursa as a well-deserved tittle, observing that the tittle would not only bring him closer to the palace but also to the people in the community.
“You merit this tradirional tittle that is why I gave it to you, I went through your background and history before I finally approved this traditional tittle for you,” he noted.
While congratulating the tittle holder on his new tittle, the district head prayed that may Allah’s protection be with him and wished him all the best in his new tittle.
Earlier, the leader of the delegation and Special Adviser to Kebbi State Governor on Political Matters and Power, Alhaji Kabir Sani-Giant told the district head that their visit was to pay homage on him, thank him for the traditional tittle given to their son and also seek for fatherly blessing.
He also described the district head of Ambursa as a father who always advocacate peace and harmony amongst the people in his domain.
“We really appreciate your efforts for considering our son to be part of your traditional institution and ‘In Sha Allah’ he will not disappoint you” he assured.
Those in attendance were; Umar Buro, younger brother to Kebbi State Governor, K C the former Arugungu Local Government Chairman, Alhaji Sanusi Gwandu the Director finance Federal Ministry of Aviation among other prominent top politicians in the state.
