Kebbi State Governor, Comerade Dr. Nasir Idris has promised to continuesly patronise indigenous contractors to pave way for accelerated development in the state.
The governor was satisfied with the level of work so far at the ongoing multi-million Naira ultramodern State Secretariats Complex in Birnin Kebbi.
Gov. Idris made the disclosure on Sunday while on an inspection tour of projects in the state according to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Idris.
He expressed satisfaction with the level of work and urged the contractors to ensure quality job that would stand the test of time and work hard to keep to the contractual agreement.
The Governor, who visited the conference hall, Mosque, offices as well as the premises of the secretariat applauded the two contractors handling the projects, ZBCC Construction Company and M-TEC Construction Nig. Ltd..
Gov. Idris also commended the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Yakubu Bala-Tafida, the Head of Service, Alhaji Safiyanu Garba-Bena as well as the Kebbi State Ministry of Works for their active supervision which he said had culminated to a job well done.
His Excellency assured the people of the state that more capital projects would be executed in the state capital and other Emirates.
“I will do a quality work for my people, I promised to deliver dividends of democracy to the people, just as I pledged during my electioneering campaign, In Sha Allah I will fulfil it and this is just the beginning,
“Let me also use this medium to salute M-Tech Company for their work as well as the contractor handling the street lights project,” he noted.
Those in attendance included; the Secretary to Kebbi State Government, (SSG), Alhaji Yakubu Bala-Tafida, Minister of State for Education, Dr Yusuf Tanko-Sununu, Head of Service, Alhaji Safiyanu Garba-Bena, Rector Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, Dr Usman Tunga, Hon. Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed-BK and Special Adviser on Pilgrimage, Alhaji Zayyanu Sanka among others.
