The Northern youths have threatened to deal with any northern Senator who allowed himself to be used in the planned impeachment of the Senator President, Chief Godswill Akpabio
In a statement issued to newsmen in Gusau, a political analyst, Hon. Salisu Isah Gusau maintained that, the Northern Youths would rise against any Northern Senator trapped in this undemocratic move.
Gusau urged members of the upper chamber of the National Assembly not to allow themselves to be used to cause confusion in the polity.
He maintained that, as members of the Green Chamber, they were supposed to be wiser in taking any action.
He advised them to distance themselves from politicians trying to cause confusion, especially, regarding the recent statement credited to the Senate President, Chief Godswill Akpabio.
Gusau stressed that, members of the Senate were supposed to have independent mind and rally support to the Senate President to produce quality legislation for democracy to move on in the country.
“It’s a source of concern that, upon all the efforts of the National Assembly leadership, especially, at the Senate, some Senators are hatching the idea of impeaching the Senate President, His Excellency, Akpabio”. He added.
Gusau described the idea as retrogressive and unacceptable to all, especially, the Northern Youths.
“If not any region, the Northern Youths would rise against any Northern Senator trapped in this undemocratic move”. Concluded Gusau.
