The newly Police commissioner posted to Zamfara state, Abutu Yaro has assured the people of the state that he would do everything possible to put the state in its rightful position of the most peaceful in the country.
Abutu who spoke to journalists during his first press conference said he would do everything possible to restore peace during his tenure.
” I observe that the state is currently facing banditry, kidnapping and cattle rustling. I will do my best to make sure that, these have been dealt with and normalcy has been restored.”
“I will put Zamfara first in my assignment. We must do everything possible to restore peace”.
“I will be more diplomatic in my dealings with the people of the state. I will also work hand in hand with traditional rulers to achieve greater success”.
“I will also relate with members of the press for public enlightenment and sensitisation of the general public being part of the community”.
“My command will adopt intelligence gathering and diplomacy in order to display our professionalism”.
CP Abutu also maintained that, he would judiciously use the community policing to ensure that, the entire people of the state were carried along in the fight against banditry and other crimes.
