The Gwandu Emirate Council in Kebbi state has suspended the Wazirin Gwandu, Alhaji Abdullahi Umar.
The Waziri was suspended today as contained in the suspension letter signed by the Secretary of the Emirate, Alhaji Musa Usman Bashar.
In the letter, Alhaji Umaru was suspended because of the following reasons:-
1- The letter he (Waziri) has written and tendered to the Security, Gwandu Emirate Council dated February 9, 2021.
2- The letter he (Waziri) wrote and tendered through the secretary Gwandu Emirate Council to Usman Dalhatu Zaria dated February 9, 2021
3- And other letters he (Waziri) has sent to persons best known to him.

An impeccable source has however revealed that, the suspended Waziri, Alhaji Abdullahi Umar has been at loggerhead with Emir Muhammad Ilyasu since the removal of the former Emir of Gwandu, Alhaji Mustafa Haruna Jokolo.
The the suspended Waziri Alhaji Addullahi had testified to the court that, due process was not followed when the former Emir Jokolo was removed from office which has further created serious misunderstanding between the two personalities.
That was the genesis of the crises between the suspended Waziri and the Emir of Gwandu Alhaji Muhammad Ilyasu.
