The All Progressives Congress (APC) Zamfara State Chapter has expressed appreciation for the safe return of the GSS Jangebe Schoolgirls but called for adequate security to protect the girl-child education.

The party has also congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari, the government and good people of Zamfara state for the safe rescue of the teenage students.

This was contained in a press release issued to newsmen by the Caretaker Committee chairman of the party, Alhaji Lawal M. Liman.

Liman said “We rejoice with  President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, Security agencies, government and good people of the state especially parents and guardians of the abductees”.

“The APC congratulates the students and their families for regaining their freedom after being held in captivity for four days in a traumatized condition in the hands of criminals who are working  against the innocent and  peace loving people of Zamfara State and the entire country.

“While appreciating the efforts of the Security agencies in their collective efforts to curtail banditry, cattle rustling, kidnapping, miming and other forms of criminalities, the party wishes to call on government and security agencies to come up with solid plans for Schools protection in order not to jeopardize the girl child education and to ensure total stoppage of criminal activities in the State and country in General”.

The Party also appeals to the General Public to be steadfast  in prayers seeking the divine  intervention to avert all the security challenges bedeviling our progress as a  state.
