Zamfara Govt gives N3m medical support to police officer wounded by bandits

The Zamfara State Police Command under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, CP Abutu Yaro has expressed sincere appreciation and gratitude to Governor Bello Matawalle for Providing the Sum of three Million Naira as medical support to ASP Sani Mamman.

In a statement, the spokesperson of the state police command SP Mohammed Shehu said “ASP Sani Mamman who was attached to  Operations Department, State Headquarters, Gusau was shot in the buttocks by bandits along Bindin – Dangulbi road while on special Anti – Robbery Operations, and had been undergoing treatment since on October, 2016”.

The statement added, “This uncommon examplary gesture of His Excellency is highly commendable as it will go a long way in boosting the moral of officers and men in performing their assigned duties with a high degree of enthusiasm and professionalism”.

“The Commissioner of Police further assured His Excellency that, officers and men of the command will continue to put in their best to ensure that the state remains peaceful”. 

“This is with a view to reciprocating  His Excellency ‘s humane gesture of support and encouragement to the security operatives in the state”. 

The CP also called on the beneficiary to make judicious use of the money by ensuring that he treats himself at the accredited hospital. 

The Commissioner for Security and Home Affairs, Alhaji Abubakar Mohammed Dauran who handed over the money to the beneficiary on behalf of the His Excellency in the presence of the PPRO assured the Police Command that, the present administration of His Excellency was determined and committed to  the welfare of security operatives for commiting their lives  in finding the lasting solution to the security challenges in the state.
