High Court two sitting in Gusau, Zamfara capital has set aside August 3 this year for the ruling in respect of a case filed by the dethroned Emir of Maru, Alhaji Abubakar Chika Ibrahim.

After a heated debate by Counsels to both the plaintiff and the defendants, the Presiding Judge, Justice Bello Shinkafi adjourned the case to August 3 for ruling.

Addressing journalists after the Court’s session, the Counsel to the dethroned Emir, Barrister Abubakar Aliyu Salisu said they were in the court in respect of the case filed by the former Emir for adoption.

He said that all the proceedings were carpeted in the court which was debated and the court adjourned the case to August 3 for judgement of the motion filed by the former Emir of Maru in respect of enforcement of his fundamental human rights.

Barrister Abubakar said, “That was what happened today and finally that is the end of the matter”.

“We are now waiting for the ruling of this honourable Court by August 3 next month”.

In his brief, the Counsel to the former SSG Alhaji Bala Bello Maru, Barrister Misbahu Salahuddin said the parties were asked by the court to adopt their respective written addresses and their counter affidavits.

He said”The Counsel to the DSS advanced to the court that he has preliminary objection and after Court’s proceedings”.

” We discovered that the preliminary objection he said he has was only made as an exhibit to application meant to correct some mistakes in his former counter affidavit and written address”.

“So consequently the court ruled that there was no any valid preliminary objection before it and later announced that August 3 would be the day for the final judgement by the court”.
