Gov Matawalle Appoints Chief Of Staff, Redeploys 12 Permanent Secretaries

Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara state has appointed Alhaji Ibrahim Suleiman Gusau as the new Chief of staff, Government House Gusau.

This was contained in a statement by the Secretary to the state Government, Alhaji Kabiru Balarabe and make available to newsmen in Gusau on Wednesday.


The statement reads’ “This is inform the general public that His Excellency, the Zamfara State Executive Governor Alhaji Bello Matawalle has approved the appointment of Alhaji Ibrahim Sulaiman Gusau as the new Chief of Staff Government House, Gusau”.

In a related development, Governor Matawalle has also redeployed 12 permanent secretaries.

The appointments took immediate effect.
The affected permanent secretaries according to a statement signed by the permanent Secretary administration, office of the Head of Service, Alhaji Yusuf Abdullahi Bakura are;

Kabiru Sani, from Ministry of Works to the Ministry of Education, Lawali Mainasara, from Ministry of Education to the Ministry of Science and Technical Education and Garba Ahmad Gusau, from Ministry of Science and Technical Education to the Ministry of Works. 

Others are’ Abubakar Muhammad Barmo, from Office of the Executive Governor to the Ministry of Local Government Affairs, Abubakar Jafar Maradun, from Ministry of Local Government Affairs to Office of the Executive Governor, Jibrin Baba, from Government House to the Ministry of Finance and Kabiru Yusuf Gusau, from Directorate of Housing and Urban Development to the Government House.

The rest are; Lawal Hussein Phd, from Ministry of Environment and Solid Minerals to Cabinet Affairs, Office of the SSG, Yakubu Sani Haidara, mni, from Cabinet Affairs, to Salaries and Wages, office of the HOS, Haruna Mainasara, from Ministry of Youths and Sports to the Ministry of Environment and Solid Minerals, Abdulkadir Alinkilo Anka, from Ministry of Special Duties to the Ministry of Commerce and Industries, Hamisu Shayau, from Ministry of Commerce and Industries to the Ministry of Youths and Sports.
