As part of its effort to curtail the security challenges along Kaura Namoda – Shinkafi road, the Zamfara state Commissioner of Police, CP Ayuba N.Elkana has led a Police Tactical team to three Tactical pin down points at Dan Bita/ Dogon Karfe, Hawan Bakwai and Konar Jalop locations in Shinkafi LGA.
This was contained in a statement by the spokesperson of the state’s Police Command, SP Mohammed Shehu and issued to newmen in Gusau today.
Acccording to the statement, the purpose of the visit was to assess the existing security emplacement along the road with a view to knowing their operational strength and capacity, so that appropriate measures could be taken to enhance their performance.
During the operational visit, the Commissioner of Police addressed officers and men and commended them for their resilience in making the road safe for commuters. He further charged them to be more proactive and vigilant so as to deal with any attempt to attack innocent people plying the road and its environs.
The CP further informed the Operatives that, the Inspector General of Police IGP Usman Alkali Baba psc+, NPM, fdc, is fully aware of their unalloyed commitment in the ongoing fight against criminal elements in the State. He urged them to sustain the tempo so that members of the communities can be adequately protected.
On the existing new security measures implemented by the State Government, the Commissioner of Police warned the officers against any compromise, as anyone indicted to have compromised will be sanctioned accordingly.
