Zamfara Police command has arrested a notorious bandit called Sani Mati (aka Maiyammata) who specialized in kidnapping and cattle rustling.
This was stated by the state’s Commissioner of police CP Ayuba N. Elkana, while briefing newsmen in his office on Wednesday.
Elkana said, “On December 28 2021 at about 0500 hours, police tactical operatives deployed along Zurmi axis while on confidence building patrol acted on intelligence information that led to the arrest of a notorious bandit named Sani mati (aka Mai yammata) aged 20 years”.
“He was arrested while trying to block the road and kidnap innocent commuters at a village called koliya”
“He earlier belonged to Turji’s camp but now operating under notorious bandits leader Kachalla Sani Black who operates in Zurmi, Shinkafi and Birnin Magaji axis.”
He was arrested with AK 47 rifle, double magazines with three rounds of aminition and a boxer motorcycle”.
“He is currently understanding investigationans and would be charged to court soon”. Concluded the Police Commissioner.
