Over 500 family members of  Sambo Dan-Ashafa dynasty which is Senator Kabiru Marafa’s lineage have joined Governor Bello Matawalle’s political bandwagon

In a statement, the state’s APC Publicity Secretary Alhaji Yusuf Idris said the family members have fulfilled their promise of coming all out to join and fully support the Mayawalle political band-wagon in the state which they described as genuine, progressive and all encompassing.

The family, led by Marafa’s uncle, Mallam Muhammad Tukur Marafa visited the APC Secretariat along with their kith and kins including two immediate younger brothers of the former senator, Sanusi and Bilyaminu Sambo Marafa.

Idris said they were overwhelmingly received amidst cheers and songs at the party’s office in an event which forced traffic along the Sokoto bye-pass road to be diverted while the ceremony took over the road.

“Both Marafa’s uncle and his two brothers while speaking at the event said they were at the State APC Secretariat to declare their total support to the APC leader and Governor Bello Matawalle whose stewardship as Governor is bringing the state to the front burner in terms of modernization, improved way of life for the youth and women”.

“Matawalle’s stewardship also  improved healthcare delivery service with special note on the PHCs built and equipoed in each of the 147 wards of the state, contruction of new roads and the  rehabilitation of existing ones and above all, the administration’s effort in decimating armed banditry, cattle rustling, kidnapping and other henious crimes”.

“The stewardship has also unconditionally rescued kidnapped victims, getting them medically checked, dressing them with new wears before reuniting them with their loved ones without any form of hidden or open political affiliation”.

They pointed out that as members of the family which is the custodian of the Usumanu Danfodio family where Matawalle hails, they felt embarassed not to be with the Governor in his trying times as leader and lumped the development on Kabiru Marafa, their political head who refused to see reason in helping Matawalle to succeed because he wanted everything for himself even when Allah says this is Matawalle’s time.

They informed the gathering that Marafa’s failure to take their advices his arrogance, envy, hatred and decision to join forces with enemies of progress in the state  compelled them to abandon him completely politically and fully declared allegiance to the Governor’s leadership.

The Dan Ashafa family stressed that as good Muslims, they have accepted, embraced and will give their support to the success of the Governor, now and always as they are being rightly guided by the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam.

They also urged people of the state to continue to appreciate Allah for bringing Matawalle as Governor and not to relent in praying for his success.

Receiving the Marafas, state APC Chairman, Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani who said words alone could not express his excitement, promised to carry them along in all the party’s decision and programmes.

Danfulani particularly congratulated them for the bold step and realizing that Allah’s choice could not be fought against.
