Nigerians urged to imbibe culture of eating balanced diet

Nutrition society of Nigeria Kaduna state Branch has called on Nigerians to imbibe culture of eating balanced diet.

The state chairman of the society MALAM Sani Hassan made the calle to mark Nigeria’s nutrition week in Zaria .

MALAM Sani Hassan said there was the need for Nigerians to consider their age before taking any kind of food.

He pointed out that aged people are at risks when ever they consume carbonhidrate food

MAL Sani Hassan called on people to always take food with vitamins and proteins.

The chairman advised people to visit health facilities and obey doctors advice to live healthy life.

The chairman said seven out of ten Nigerians have health problem related malnutrition cases.

He stressed the need for the three tiers of government to intensify efforts to embark on sensitization campaign to educate the public on the importance of balance diet.

He called on public to maintain the habit of taking local foods like beans, soya beans moringer, vegetables and food that contained vitamins and proteins.
