“I want to use this opportunity to appeal to our teeming supporters to continue to be law-abiding citizens as we are working very hard to ensure that we recapture the state”.

“I also want to draw the attention of our people to note that, we are bonafide members of the APC and we will communicate to you if there is any change in future”.

Marafa maitained that, those who were going round spreading rumors that, Yari was not an APC member and would not be part of the APC chairmanship aspirants were proved wrong.

“There were people who were saying that, former Governor Yari was not an APC member because he didn’t revalidate his membership card and would not go to the venue of the convention”.

“They were put to shame, because, Yari purchased the nomination form, he was screened and cleared  along with other contestants”.

On the issue of the ongoing litigations, Senator Marafa advised Governor Bello Mattawale to reconcile with his former party the PDP and seek for out of court settlement so that he might retain his seat.

“I am calling on the Governor to meet our younger brother, the PDP Deputy Governor Mahdi Aliyu Gusau and seek for out of court settlement so that he will not be thrown out of office”.

“We told him that he should not defect to APC because APC is like a heaven. Whoever goes to the heaven will never return to the earth”.

“He did not heed to our warning and was misled by some overzealous individuals to defect to APC and he is now regretting his actions”.

“I want to use this opportunity to call on our supporters to remain calm and watch the unfolding drama”.

“I am telling you, that we are in touch with some prominent personalities and by the grace of God, we will soon come out with a solution”. Concluded Senator Marafa.
