Zamfara state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended the National leadership of the party under His Excellency, Senator Abdullahi Adamu for resolving the crisis that rocked the party causing division among members.
In a statement, the Zamfara state’s APC Publicity Secretary, Malam Yusuf Idris said the reconciliation followed the signing of agreement between Governor Matawalle and former Governor Yari to ensure that all members remained together.
Idris said, “With the signing of agreement, the APC has once again been reunited under one roof in the state”.
According to him, the signing agreement was held at the APC National Headquarters, Abuja under the supervision of the National Chairman of the party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu.
Idris said, “The two leaders promised and agreed to work closely together for the benefit of the state and the good people of Zamfara”.
Speaking shortly after the agreement was reached, State Chairman of the party, Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani thanked all the stakeholders that participated in the peace accord.
Danfulani assured that his leadership has been making effort in bringing all splinter members into the main fold of the party so that Zamfara state would continue to enjoy peaceful political, social and a prosperous economic environment.
Danfulani who described the move as progressive, urged all party loyalists, supporters and stakeholders to see and treat all members as equals without any difference.
He urged people of the state to continue to pray for the wellbeing of the state.
The event was witnessed by the APC National Secretary, Iyiola Omisore and the Governor of Kebbi State who doubles as APC Governors Forum Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Bagudu.
Others were the Zamfara State APC Chairman, Hon Tukur Umar Danfulani and the Speaker, Zamfara State House of Assembly, Hon Nasiru Maazu Magarya and Chief of Staff to the Speaker National Assembly Hon Sanusi Garba Rikiji among others.
