The Peoples Redemption Party, (PRP) Zaria has conducted it’s primary election under a peaceful atmosphere in Zaria
Declaring the house Representatives and state house of Assembly results, the returning officer MAL KABIR Ahmed said two candidates contested for the House of Representative and state house of Assembly.
He added that, the candidates for the Federal House of Representatives representing Zaria city constituency, Ubale Salmanduna and Yusuf Ahmed Wakili for the State Assembly were unopposed .
KABIR Ahmed declared Umar Faruq Danjuma as winner to represent Zaria kewaye constituency scoring 18 votes to defeat Muhammad Abdullah who score 10 votes.
The returning officer pointed out that a total number of vote was 28, out of which three were invalid.
Speaking shortly after the pronouncement of the result, Yusuf Ahmed Wakili and Umar Faruq Danjuma thanked Allah for the victory and promised to bring meaningful development if elected in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
They stressed the need for eligible voters to ensure that they have collected their permanent voters cards to exercise their civic right.
