Senator Marafa Mourns Late Emir of Kotorkoshi, Alhaji Ahmad Umar Mai Kwatarkwashi

A former Senator representing Zamfara Central Senatorial Zone, Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa has condoled the families, relatives and the entire people of Kotorkoshi Emirate over the demise of the Emir of Kotorkoshi Alhaji Ahmad Umar Mai Kwatarkwashi who passed away last Thursday.

In a statement signed by Alhaji Bello Bakyasuwa, Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa described the death of late Emir of Kotorkoshi, Alhaji Ahmad Umar as a great loss not only to his family, but to the entire people of Zamfara State.

Mafara said, late Ahmad Umar who was the longest serving and oldest Emir in Zamfara state would forever be remembered because of his humbleness, sincerity and dedication to the worship of Allahu Allahu Subhanahu Wata,ala.

Senator Marafa said, “I received with deep shock the passing away of a highly respected traditional ruler and Emir of Kotorkoshi, His Royal Highness Alhaji Ahmad  Umar Mai-Kwatarkwashi who died on Thursday in his palace after an illness”.

Marafa said as an oldest Emir in the state who spent 62 years on the throne and died at the age of 93, late Ahmad Umar Mai Kwatarkwashi had left a vacuum difficult to fill.

“The late Emir was an astute leader, administrator and Islamic Scholar who served his people, his religion and all those he happened to interact with during his lifetime”

Senator Marafa prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the late Emir, Alhaji Ahmad Umar Mai Kwatarkwashi and give his family and the entire people of Kotorkoshi Emirate the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
