Arrangements have been concluded by the credentials/screening committee of the Nigeria Union of Journalists Zamfara state council to conduct its Triennial Delegates Conference on July 2, 2022.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary Credentials/Screening committee, Dahiru Samaila Mafara and made available to newsmen on Saturday.
The statement reads in parts as follows:
“The Credentials/Electoral Committee for the conduct of the above exercise, wishes to notify members of the NUJ, Zamfara State council, that the National Secretariat of the Union has approved July 2nd, 2022 for the States Delegates Conference”.
“A statement signed by its Assistant National Secretary, Okorede R. Opeyemi said only members who have fully paid their PRACTICING FEES for period of three years (N5000) will be allowed to participate in the elections which he said, conforms with the provision of article 4(1a, 2a) of the NUJ Constitution”.
“The Committee led by Comrade Ibrahim Muhammad Kanoma therefore calls on all candidates aspiring for any position to continue with their campaign activities and until further directives from the committee”.
