The People’s Democratic party ( PDP) Northeastern Zone has passed a vote of confidence on the National Chairman of the party, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu and his leadership.
This was contained in a press release issued to newsmen by the secretariat of the North-East Zone of the party in Bauchi, Bauchi state, dated 23rd September, 2022.
The statement reads in parts as follows, “Following the recent calls for the resignation or removal of the National Chairman of our great party, Senator Dr Iyorchia Ayu, it has become imperative to issue out this press release”.
“On behalf of the Peoples Democratic Party in the North East Geopolitical Zone, we wish to disassociate ourselves from any calls on the National Chairman of our great party, Senator Dr. Iyorchia Ayu to resign his office or be removed”.
“As loyal and committed members of the party from the Zone, we wish to re affirm our unreserved support and loyalty to the leadership of the party under Senator Dr Iyorchia Ayu”.
“The Peoples Democratic Party in the Zone also stands by the resolution of the 79th NEC meeting of our great party where, a vote of Confidence was unanimously passed on the National Working Committee under the leadership of Senator Dr Iyorchia Ayu”.
“We equally wish to pledge our unalloyed commitment and support to our Presidential Candidate, the Former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the Wazirin Adamawa and his running mate, His Excellency, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa”.
“We wish to also call on all Peoples Democratic Party members and supporters all over the country to rally round all our Candidates towards success at all levels come 2023 general elections”.
