Zamfara State Government has sympathized with Jigawa State Government over the flood disaster that occurred in that state recently.
This was contained in a press release by the Director Information, Zamfara State Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Malam Bashir Kabiru Ahmad and made available to Analyzer news on Wednesday.
The statement reads in parts as follows:-
“Zamfara State Commissioner Of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development Hajiya Fa’ika M. Ahmed on behalf of Zamfara State Governor Honourable Bello Muhammad Matawallen Maradun registered Zamfara State Government sympathy message during a courtesy visit to His Excellency the Deputy Governor Of Jigawa State Malam Umar A Namadi at his office in Dutse”.
“Hajiya Fa’ika Ahmed said the recurring flooding which led to death of many people and destruction of property was shocking and a great concern to Government of Zamfara State”.
“She prayed to Allah The Almighty to forgive those that lost their lives and make it easy for the survivors and Government of Jigawa State to respond accordingly”.
“The Commissioner who was in Jigawa State alongside some Directors of the ministry for a 2-Day Study Tour in Jigawa State explained that the two states have some things in common in regards to natural disaster that could be collectively mitigated”.
“Responding, the Jigawa State Deputy Governor Malam Umar A. Namadi appreciated the Government of Zamfara State being led by Governor Bello Muhammad Matawallen Maradun for the concern shown to people and Government of Jigawa State”.
“The Deputy Governor however assured Government of Zamfara State of its willingness in continuous collaboration for the development of the two states”.
