Kebbi State Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has sworn in Dr. Tukur Sani Argungu as the Acting Grand Khadi of the State to replace Khadi Muktar Imam Jega following his retirement from service.
In a statement by the Special Adviser to Governor Bagudu on Media Malam Yahaya Sarki it was stated that the oath of office was administered on Monday by the Chief Judge of the State, Justice Suleiman Muhammad Ambursa at the Council Chamber, Government House, Birnin Kebbi.
The statement added that, shortly after the swearing in of the Acting Grand Khadi, Dr.Tukur Sani Argungu , in a brief remark, Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu congratulated the new Acting Grand Khadi, Dr. Tukur Sani Argungu and the Chief Judge, Justice Suleiman Muhammad Ambursa for the milestone recorded by the Judiciary in the State .
He described Dr.Tukur Sani Argungu, the new Acting Grand Khadi as an illustrous son of Kebbi State who has displayed envious record of performance.
Governor again acknowledged and commended Kebbi Judiciary under the Chief Judge, Justice Suleiman Muhammad Ambursa for helping to deliver justice in the State in spite of myriad of challenges.
‘ Part of the success recorded by Kebbi State is due to the effort of the Judiciary ‘, he averred.
Earlier the Secretary to the State Government, SSG Babale Umar Yauri, mni while presenting Dr.Tukur Sani Argungu to the Governor , said the swearing was sequel to the retirement of the incumbent Grand Khadi, Muktar Imam Jega .
He said the new appointee was the most senior ranking Khadi who has a track record of performance in the Judiciary.
