He however explained that, the fight against banditry was about to finish in the state, considering the successes being recorded by the security agents on daily basis.

“I am happy that, the security agents are doing their best to make sure that the banditry activities are tackled before the election date and by the time I am re-elected, I will concentrate more on people’s oriented projects and programs in order to move the state forward”.

Matawalle thanked those who attended the rally in Maru and urged them to elect all APC candidates from top to bottom.

In his speech, Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa told the gathering that, Governor Ahmed El-Rufai of Kaduna state had witnessed the same problem during his first tenure but has performed above expectation during his second term in office.

“When El-Rufai assumed office as Governor of Kaduna state, he was not able to do much in his first tenure due to series of challenges he faced”.

“But immediately he was reelected, he performed better than any Governor in the country”.

“That is what is exactly going to happen in Zamfara state if you give Governor Bello Matawalle your mandate to continue in the second term”.

Speaking at the occasion, former Governor Abdul Aziz Yari has assured that Governor Bello Matawalle would surely do more in his second term because he has now understood the areas that needed his attention.

Yari expressed optimism that the next four years of Matawalle would be better than his first tenure, urging the electorates to give him their votes.

“Security issues would be tackled before the election date and this will give Matawalle the opportunity to provide the electorate with the dividend of democracy”.

Yari called on party members to collect their Permanent Voter Cards and elect all APC candidates in the forthcoming general elections.
