Accord party governorship candidate flags off campaign in Maru, assures to move Zamfara forward

The Zamfara state governorship aspirant under the platform of Accord party, Alhaji Umaru Diddi Maradun has called on the people of the state to vote for him in the forthcoming general elections, promising to move the state forward.

Maradun who spoke in Maru town during the flag off of the party’s gubernatorial campaign said the state needed competent person to save it from total disintegration.


He assured that if elected as a governor, he would concentrate on the people oriented projects, education health and security.

He said, “Our people have been suffering for the past 20 years due to bad governance”.


“Both the PDP and APC have failed Nigerians, as such, I am calling on the people of this country to vote for Accord party because it is the only party that have the interest of the masses at heart”.

Maradun urged the people of the state to repent and embark on intensive prayers for God’s intervention on security challenges facing the state.

He assured that his first assignment if elected as a governor was the fight against banditry, hunger, joblessness and injustice.

The flag off campaign has recorded massive turnout in Maru town where thousands of people converged to witness the occasion.

The occasion was attended by the party’s Vice presidential candidate, Alhaji Bala Bello Maru, the deputy Governor of the party, Alhaji Bello Suleiman Bungudu and host of others.
